I had a little time this afternoon and decided to create a Wikipedia page for Elizabeth Pugsley Hayward. I've edited articles before, but this is my first Wikipedia page from scratch.
Here's a link to her page: Elizabeth Pugsley Hayward.
If you go to the Wikipedia page and scroll down to the bottom, she has been added to a number of categories, including 1854 births, American Latter Day Saints, Women state legislators in Utah, and others.
Amy--May there be more time in an afternoon for your work! This is an excellent forum to make the results of your research and work accessible to many. You continue the teacher. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bessie! It's been an adventure learning how to code an article and learn all the proper Wikipedia etiquette. The article still needs some work with the graphic layout, which means I'll probably have to add content.
ReplyDeleteWhen the article went from draft into Wikipedia, it went into a list of new articles for review, and someone made an editing change and someone else added a resource he or she found through Google Books. (Probably doing some basic source checking that the Wikipedia entry was factual.) What a resource! Wikipedia can be tricky to use in research, but it sure is one of the marvels of modern technology.
